Technical Assistance Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) State Network: Colorado
Established by the Office of Special Education Programs at the U.S. Department of Education, the Technical Assistance (TA) Center on PBIS is charged with providing schools capacity-building information and TA for identifying, adapting, and sustaining effective schoolwide disciplinary practices. This page of the Center’s Web site includes contact information for Colorado’s PBIS coordinators and facilitators and its designated TA Center partner.

Advancement Project: Ending the Schoolhouse to Jailhouse Track: Web Site and State Map
Advancement Project works at both the national level and with grassroots organizations nationwide to examine, expose, and reform practices that lead to the criminalization of students. It also works to build capacity for community-led work and build bridges among those working to end the school-to-prison pipeline. This map presents State-based activities, resources, and news related to the school-to-prison pipeline.

Character Education Partnership: Colorado
Character Education Partnership (CEP) is a national advocate for the character education movement. This site provides information about character education efforts in Colorado, including links to State Schools of Character (SSOC)—schools identified as having reached a standard of excellence within their States in the area of character development, information for those interested in applying to become an SSOC, and contact information for the State’s character education coordinator.

Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning: SEL in Your State
Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) and the University of Illinois at Chicago Social Emotional Learning Research Group are conducting a review of educational standards related to social and emotional learning (SEL) from preschool to high school in all 50 States and the six Territories to understand whether and how States currently address SEL in their learning standards. This Web site presents the findings from the review by State and grade level. The preliminary findings from the first year of this 2-year project, State Scan of Social and Emotional Learning Standards, Preschool through High School, is also available for download.

Dignity in Schools Campaign: Resources on Your State: Colorado
This Web site includes resources, by State, that the Dignity in Schools Campaign (DSC) has been collecting for stakeholders. For some States, the Web site includes information on suspension and the pipeline to prison, as well as parent advocacy guides related to student pushout.

National Center for School Engagement Truancy Program Registry
The National Center for School Engagement provides a registry of truancy reduction programs by State, and includes detailed information about each program including contact information and evidence of effectiveness. Searches can also be narrowed by keywords, grade level, evidence of effectiveness, and more.

National Center on Response to Intervention: RTI State Database: Colorado
Response to Intervention (RTI) integrates assessment and interventions to maximize student achievement and reduce behavior problems. This database provides locally-developed (by States, territories, or districts) resources on a number of topics related to RTI, including behavior management, disproportionality, and cultural and linguistic competence. The resources, which range from policy documents and briefs to trainings and tools, are provided in an effort to share examples and information across States. Site visitors can search the database by State, topic (e.g., disproportionality, cultural and linguistic diversity), grade level, resource type, and/or audience.

National School Climate Center: School Climate Policies and Laws Database: Colorado
This database contains information about laws and policies designed to address school climate and bullying prevention in each State. From this database, users can generate profiles of State policies for school climate and bullying prevention efforts, and view reports on State policies on these two issues.
